The rounded stainless fixed blade is the headline feature for the small breeds and puppies this kit targets: the smoothed tips are far less likely to nick loose puppy skin around the belly and armpits. A soft 52 dB motor and a small, light body make this easy to hold one-handed while your other hand steadies a tiny dog. The Ni-MH pack charges from the supplied adapter rather than USB, which is worth knowing if you travel, but it gives ample runtime for a small breed. Short, light strokes and frequent combing prevent the fine hair bunching under the blade.
